Maintain a temperature range of -25°C to 65°C to ensure optimum performance. Also, make sure the power supply is grounded and never attempt to view fiber optic connectors while the power is on, as eye injury may result. Avoid blocking the cooling vents, keep the machine ventilated, and avoid unfolding or removing any parts of the device. Finally, never plug in the jumper while it is on, and avoid retesting the EDFA.
